While I agree on the terminology, calling OEL "manga" or "manga style" is an easier way to label the art movement that's happening with aspiring comic artists presently. It's like, for example, the differing definitions of "otaku" between the east and the west.

Anyway, I hardly think there's respect to be lost for people getting publishing deals.
