Castlevania is like my oldest fandom. And Lament of Innocence kind of owns part of my soul. If I had to give up Final Fantasy VII or Lament of Innocence, I think I'd had to keep the latter. It's like a playground for me. Vampires, the Crusades, religion, knights ... yeah, appeals to too many of my little obsessions. I'm not even that fond of Dracula or most vampire-related things ... but this series is just absolute love. I've been playing it since I was about six.

I'd suggest the GameBoy Advance games. I have ROMs of them if you want me to send them your way. Aria of Sorrow is really one of the best in the series. And Symphony of the Night for the PSOne is awesome, though a bit hard to come by these days despite its popularity. I think I saw them selling on eBay for around $80 last I wandered over there since people had told me that I could probably sell my copy for a nice sum ... but I don't want to part with it. ;_;
I hate the whole vampire obsession so many stupid kids have and hate what Buffy and Van Hellsing did to them. Vampires do not turn to dust when a spike is driven through their heart. The whole point of the spike it to keep them pinned in their coffin. I'm a fan of Polidori's The Vampire which was a short gothic story written in the mid 1800s and is where a lot of the Dracula lore comes from even though the vampire in the story was loosely based off Lord Byron. ::rambles.:: And don't get me started on what Anne Rice did to vampires. I used to love Anne Rice but then after reading too many bad Castlevania fics -- there is a surplus -- in which people used Anne Rice lore for the vampires, I just was like, 'What the hell ... this childe stuff sucks. Please go away. Kthxbye.'
::falls over.:: Okay, shutting up now.

Anne Rice.. there was a period of time I did enjoy the whole Interview With The Vampire fandom, mainly for the movie- but the books were horrendously dull.
Rambling is fun! :D I love hearing what others have to say about their fandoms. :3
