Can anyone recommend a free image host where you can have an account (and thus be able to delete/edit pics at will)?

I've just had it up to here with Photobucket! I try to upload a picture that's fucking 30kb and they now immediately resize it. Before it'd usually get resized after a month or so, or -- if you were lucky -- not at all.

I use imgur! It works great and I think your images can't be automatically traced back to you if you don't want them to be.

I tried imgur (I also have the same problem as the oP with photobucket), and it seems a lot of the time the gifs wouldn't work...

Maybe they were too big? The only time I've had problems with gifs is when they're over 2 MB.

Ah, that could be it - I was working on uploading some 500 or so reaction images and the gifs didn't work for a lot of them.

I'm not a huge fan of Imgur, but that's only because my browser lags terrible whenever I try to view a gallery/folder/whatever-it's-called. I might give it a try though, so thanks for the suggestion!

WTH? I had no idea photobucket did this... I never noticed. Sorry, photobucket would've been my suggestion, and that's not helpful. Imageshack is horrible now too, so. :/ I'm sure someone else will be able to help!

Yeah, they've been doing it for quite some time now... At first I didn't notice, because they'd only resize the images after a month or so. But now it seems like it's done directly when uploading -- it's such bullshit too; I mean, did they really have to resize a 30kb file? It's all pixelated and blurry now, urgh.

Of course, if you have a ~*~pro~*~ account they supposedly won't mess with your files (but I've seen people say otherwise, so who knows).

I wonder why they need to resize the images at all...I guess to cut down on space, though why the hell does a 30kb file require resizing? That's crazy. Do they not realize that people might actually use these links again and again, or they just don't care?

Yea, I'd just try to find somewhere else in that case. Which sucks, because who wants to go through the process again? (I have an account myself, so boooo photobucket.)

Tinypic? It's been my favorite for a few years (yeah, despite the terrible debacle about allowing only US, UK users to use it for a while)

Tinpic is what I use when I submit secrets here, but the last one I uploaded got resized -- it looked like shit when it actually got posted here. But that was a while ago, so maybe they stopped doing that. Didn't they had actual accounts, either! So thanks for the tip :)
