i don't get why people think you can only ever like him as a total villain or you're one of those people who woobify him endlessly.

i think he's a sympathetic character and i think he has genuine reasons besides "LOLZ I'M SO EVIL" for what he does. that doesn't mean i think those reasons justify his behaviour or that he's a good person.
villains can have a broken heart, too, yo.

in the same vein, i don't get why people think you must think odin, frigga and thor are terrible people if you think his childhood was abusive.

people can engagine in abusive behaviour even if they genuinely love someone and don't mean to and a whole lifetime of always just being second best to your brother while people pretend you two are equal is not what i'd call healthy.

last but not least, just because i love the idea of him being redeemed does not mean i don't "get" his character or don't enjoy him being all villainous and stuff as well.

mostly i just really love his entire character and all the hate for him and his fans makes me really really sad. :(
