Though the person on tumblr that said having Holmes be into BDSM was a perfect way to show how ~deviant~ he was needs to shut the fuck up forever.

While I agree that that's a fucked up thing to say, I think that is exactly the show's intention. Most people still see BDSM as something only mentally ill people engage in. But that doesn't mean you have to agree with the show doing it for that reason.

This is my second biggest concern about Fifty Shades of Grey. (Priorities, I has them.) It's so popular that it can majorly affect the public's belief of what it is, and it's WRONG!

Seriously, Lara Pulver's Irene Adler (I only saw two minutes of SiB) was possibly the most accurate description of an actual domme I've ever seen, and it was still riddled with error.
