Mostly my issue was with OP's apparent shame because he enjoyed rap as a white, femme-y gay. I agree that he shouldn't put himself in danger to enjoy a concert, but that doesn't mean he has to point out that enjoying a type of music is wrong for someone like him. It just reinforces his own feeling that he enjoys something not for him.

They didn't, but I don't think it's a stretch that if someone is emphasizing being femme and gay, it's unlikely they're female.

Only because I don't think being a femme-y female would ping too many radars when there's already a great deal of 'butch women are lesbians' stereotypes.
