These are some very interesting secrets today.

Perhaps F!S can help me with my problem - I went to school and connected my laptop to their wireless settings, which disabled my Task Manager and my shut down options, including hibernate, sleep, and shut down. I'm back at home and have signed off of their network, but the shut down options have not come back?

I'm using Windows 7.

Try using a restore point? I can't think of anyway to re-enable them, but you can probably get your comp to undo the changes by reverting to an earlier time, as long as you haven't done anything drastic (that you want to keep) since you made it.

I just did that - I didn't really want to, but apparently some MSOffice updates messed it up. It's fixed though!

Have you tried changing them yourself through Control Panel?
