I'm rather liking the current season of "Face Off" on SyFy channel, a competitive reality show about movie makeup. Since it's SyFy, there's a lot of monster/alien/horror themes, but not entirely. The only hugely antagonistic guy actually walked off the very first episode (and that episode was kind of painful to watch). But in the eps after that, the contestants have been supportive and admiring of each others' works and critical of their own way more often than anything else, and no crazy rivalries or braggadocio so far. Some tension when they're partnered up in challenges, but no "throwing under the bus" -- everyone save the guy who walked off has owned up to what they were responsible for.

That sounds really cool. I may watch it even though I have a hate-hate relationship with Syfy.

Thank you for the recommendation.

You're welcome! I understand the SyFy hate-hate though, and the fact that SyFy ran it made me avoid the show for the first 2 seasons. But then Hulu had part of season 2 up, and one ep had LeVar Burton as a guest judge for alien makeup, and another had Catherine O'Hara as guest judge for Tim Burton-inspired designs, and it was like, ohhhhh fine, SyFy, ya got me.
