This is Fate/Zero, the mostly-stand-alone prequel to Fate/Stay night, a visual novel that got turned into an anime. I would suggest watching/playing F/SN first, if only to get a better feel for the universe and to not spoil the great big WTF of a reveal about Saber that happens halfway through F/SN (and like 10 minutes into F/Z).

There's a Let's Play of F/SN here (http://fsn.seorinwastaken.com/archive/index.html) if you're into that kind of thing or desperate to get your hands on it. There's badly censored porn dialogue, so NWS I guess?

And yes, Waver and Rider are fucking adorable and I really, really want them to show up in more of the Fate series.

Best team in Fate Zero, hands down. I've found a handful of fic at AO3, but there definitely needs to be more. This post-series fic is probably my favorite of what I've read.
