...Well screw them when they tell you that. No one has the right to say that your taste in music sucks because they don't enjoy the same things.

That said - I love that bands stuff, or what I've heard of it anyways. <3

I think you should find some better friends. This is a great band btw, they are talented musicians too. I absolutely love that video for weightless. But getting back to you here, people who judge you and what makes you happy aren't really your friends. True friends support you and care about what you're interested in. Especially when it comes to your happiness. I have problems with depression and use britcoms to make me happy, they soothe me somehow. No matter how I feel I can always go to them and feel good again.

Bottom line, you have great taste in music and it brings you comfort and happiness. Just because your puzzle piece doesn't fit in the puzzle of those around you, doesn't mean you're not a perfect fit in someone else's.

Why does this text look so blurry? It's bizarre. Even with my eyes 4 inches from the screen it still doesn't look sharp.

It seems absolutely stupid to criticize people on what music they prefer. It's your brain, feed it the music that appeals to it the most, and laugh in the face of all the people who try to pretend that their musical preferences are the best.

The text looks blurry because there are black pixels tinged with red all around the letters - it's pixelated. The two photos look blurry too. I think secret was either resized and compressed, saved to a lossy (compressed) jpg file, or was automatically rezied by the image host.

I think at least one secret from every post has this problem. It's not as obvious with busy backgrounds but it's very obvious when there are solid colors defined by sharp edges and lines.

Think of it this way - quality is when the division between solid red lettering on green background is very sharp. You can tell the exact pixel when the change in colour happened. Blurred is when there is a gradual, even, consistant tonal change in color from red to green. Lossy compression is when there is a sharp division between red and green but there are some red-hued dots scattered in the green part of the picture and green-hued dots scattered in the red part of the picture.

The blurriness might be my incompetence with GIMP - it's been a long while since I used it and I've never been really good at it, haha. At least it's somewhat legible? It's an accomplishment :P

Ah, GIMP. When you select save as a .jpeg image, GIMP should open a new window and ask what quality you want the picture to be saved as. The default quality is 85% so make sure it's set to 100% and it shouldn't be blurry next time.

I used to really love this band, but then kind of moved on I guess. That said, Alex really does write some pretty good lyrics. I mean even looking back at the ones he wrote when he was like 16/17 they were still pretty impressive. I also remember that group's chemistry together. They all seemed like they had a lot of fun together and had a good sense of humor.

I totally get what you're going through. I have some emotional problems I'm working on right now and one of the few things that really makes me smile some days are watching Japanese variety shows hosted by idol groups, which my friends make fun of me for but whatever. If something makes you smile and happy then forget what everyone else says.

I love ATL. The music is catchy and the lyrics are great. If your friends are giving you a hard time over what makes you happy, you might need some new friends.
