1. how high are you aiming? practice tests. loads and loads of them. kaplan and princeton review are pretty decent brands. and i don't know if this unsolicited advice is coming too late but the psat is actually the most important test you'll take in your high school career. national merit status = colleges throwing money at you and begging you to come there.

2. yes. if you're a medical student volunteering at a lab for a summer, please do not critique the methods of someone who has been running the protocol for years. generally anyone who doesn't have the experience to back up their criticism gets the major-side eye from me.

1. I would like at least 600 for the Reading and Writing. & whatever else that wasn't math. I got 540 on each of them when I took it two years ago.

I actually took the psat after the sat, and I have no idea how that ended up...

hmm it's been 5 years since i've taken them so i don't know what's changed but it's critical reading, math, and writing right? each out of 800?

in your case, if your finances can support it, i might suggest an sat class (kaplan & princeton review should offer them if you live in a relatively populated area) just because they'll probably cover more of the basic stuff--and since you're paying for them, you'll probably be inclined to go to class to learn/be forced to learn at a sedate pace instead of cramming all at once. if not / if the test is coming up too soon, i think the next best thing is to read test prep books and take as many practice tests as you can and make sure to go back over the stuff you miss so you learn from old mistakes. are you finishing each section?

Yeah, critical reading, math, and writing, still with 800 max. There's so many more hoops to jump through than just two years ago. There's about three classes available starting at 500$, so that's out. I'll PM you....

and i'd majorly side-eye anyone who imagined that having a lot of experience with something made them immune from errors, or that only the input of other experts is worth having.
