I will NEVER understand that. You already know the word in English! Why would you start pronouncing differently it because Japanese do! Or, even worse, make up a new word entirely that doesn't exist in any language. Every time I hear the word "dunpeal" in the English dub of Vampire Hunter D (the word is supposed to be "dhampir"), I wonder what the hell went so wrong. Nobody could take five seconds to look up likely non-Japanese words for "half-vampire"? Nobody?

And let's not forget the Pilot Candidate dub, r and l were constantly switched (the character book spells a name with an r, the dub pronounces it as an l).

And with Eureka 7, they're currently playing it on Toonami, even TOM pronounces it wrong. I don't even
