Going out on a limb here, but you're probably finding the kind of fic you do because a ship between a severely abused teenager and a 40-something sadistic sociopath lends itself far easier to rape than fluff.

TBH, there are few things that annoy me more in fic than taking an awesomely screwed up ship like this and making it fluffy. At that point you're just taking away everything that makes the ship worth writing.

Believe you me, I love their fucked-up-ness. That's what makes it interesting. And it's def possible to have fics that retain that AND qualify as fluff. They just...are hard to find. And write. But they exist! There's a reason I specify AUs.

Or maybe I have a loose definition of fluff?

I need more consensual boning/relationships, that's all. :U And if anyone has any fanfic recs, I will love you forever.
