Coulson is hyped up beyond belief. Personally I loathe fandom's characterization of Coulson as this ninja Christian Grey-like spank inferno superdom, whose virulent masculinity makes Clint swoon with delicate, quivering lust while awaiting his daddy to give him his daily sponge bath because he obviously can't take care of himself.

As much as I love Coulson (for what he IS in the actual films), I'm cackling at your description of his fanon characterization because omg so. painfully. true. Can't really disagree with anyone for having hype backlash after being exposed to that.
