No. Numb is a song that got me through a shit time in my life because my mother is like that, never happy with amything I did unless it was what she should have done, criticising everything I liked when she didn't like it (such as cartoons I watched when I was 8 years old), ridiculing me when I was having a good time, I had to get good grades, go to uni, get a good job and be a career woman, anything else didn't count and was pointless/stupid/etc. It didn't matter what I wanted, I had to be just like her.
