Yeah that's one way to see it, but as I'm watching him over my laptop screen, I feel like it'll go more like "I'll make a man out of you" with some "Won't say I'm in love" thrown in for good measure. I'm just so happy to like someone.

Anon, same here. Well, kind of. We had an epic evening of talking and getting to know each other. Earlier there'd been some drunken flirting. The alcohol wore off but the connection stayed. He didn't make a move and I didn't want to sleep with him straight away so I also didn't make a move but I figured maybe we're both awkward? So I'm trying to just see where it goes but such a big crush over here I can't even.

but seriously, I'm beginning to wonder if I'm broke or something. I don't think I've ever felt that interested or attracted to a person. But I know I'm not asexual becayse I'm cool with casual encounters. Kind of makes me sad? I kind of want to be in love, but it's not clicking or switching on in my head?

Hasn't happened for me either, anon. :)

Personally, I think the OMG IN LOVE feeling is sort of a reckless emotion. Since I'm really cautious by nature and design, any time that sort of thing starts to crop up, I kind of stomp on it. It never stood a chance, and for the most part, I'm okay with it.

Sometimes, though, I do wish.

Well, if you can have romantic and aromantic asexuals, I guess it's possible that there might be aromantic sexuals as well? Though I guess it'd be kind of sad if you were aromantic but wanted to experience being in love.
