Playing and completing the games are a right of passage, no excuses. You can't beat them, you can't be a part of 'em, sorry. I'm with you, OP.

Reading all of a comic book canon is a right of passage, no excuses. You haven't read all the comics with the character in it, you can't be a part of 'em, sorry.

At a certain point it gets ridiculous. Obviously people shouldn't be basing their fandom writings entirely off someone else's interpretation of them, but if you've been through a let's play? Does the fact that you experienced the content in a different way than someone else make it less legitimate? Does the fact that someone's watched a movie on TV with editing and cuts to it mean they can't be in the fandom for the movie until they've seen the unedited version? No, because that's ridiculous.

(That's not getting into the different definitions people have for what constitutes 'completing' a game. Beating the main story? Going through all the optional content? Unlocking all the achievements?)

Silly me, I suppose. I thought playing a game was supposed to be fun.

Read the comics, don't watch the movie.

Read the books, don't watch the movie.

Play all the games, don't watch the movie or read the books or the comic books.

You're an entitled cunt so afraid someone is going to know more about it than you. OH NO UR STREET CRED IS IN TATTERS.
