I honestly don't get what would be the appeal of being in fandom for games you haven't played, but this is a stupid reason to judge someone.

I'm play games and I'm grateful I have friends who read my fanfiction and talk about the characters and fanworks with me even if they can't afford the games. No, they can't whine about annoying bosses with me, but whining about annoying bosses is not the main reason I seek out gamer friends.
