Okay, anon, even if he's being completely truthful with that monologue he is not "throwing away his loving family and being a general evil asshole because of his jealousy and insecurity" although admittedly yes, he's probably making Thor VERY SAD. There's no jealousy there, and let's be real, what loving family? Okay, he has Thor, but like he said - Thor kind of doesn't hang out with him all that much? He's obviously trying to be a father figure but (possibly because Odin was a shit example to have to go by) he really doesn't seem to know how to not be kind of a jerk to Loki at times.

TL;DR if kid Loki's gone evil again it's for very different, IMO far more justifiable reasons than MCULoki.
