Re: BNFs (again)

I left SPN fandom after season three and while I was there I was mostly in the Wincest/J2 camp, but a few BNFs I remember from the top of my head:

destina
trollprincess/apocalypso (sp? also not sure which one her current name is)
maygra
winterlive
thenyxie
possible poisontaster and lemmealone?


Basically anyone who's fics/vids/meta got recced again and again and had flists the sizes of a small country.


For wankier examples, ckll (the mod mentioned in the fandom wank write ups) and keepaofthecheez.

Generally speaking being a BNF isn't something bad. It's just what it says on the tin: a Big Name Fan. Anyone who's name is known through fandom (or the specific subset of fandom they're part of). I could have clicked on any random Wincest/J2 rec list back in the day and found at least one fic of one of the above mentioned people on there. (And with the possilbe expection of the last two they all deserve it. I think I read one of keepa's fics, but it's been too long that I could say whether or not it was any good. And I'm pretty sure that ckll's fame came from being the mod of a popular pairing comm rather than her writing skills.)
