Or a roomful of geeks gushing about Rose hear a voice of dissent who gets the conversation to turn to how badass and woefully underdeveloped Martha was or how awesome and kickass Donna was or how fun Jack was.

I never said it was clever. Just a way to steer the conversation from "Rose is teh bestest" to "oh yeah there's loads of awesome companions, have you heard Eight's Audio Dramas, Sam and Fitz for the fucking win!"

I agree, I liked Rose with 9 but I was so sick of her by the end of her run I did nothing at the end of the Donna saga but yell at the screen for Rose to just stay in her damned locked dimension already!!
The rumors of bring her back for the 50 anniversary w/ 11 already has me frothing at the mouth.
