I feel like that is really, really biased by the fact that most people are raised by people who are of the same race as them. If your family is vastly made up of people of the same race, you're going to have a greater need to differentiate just to be able to tell who you're looking at. I wonder if there are any studies on children adopted by people of different races being better or worse at identifying their own races.
