I love YA! I just finished Graceling a couple weeks back! It was oookay- I'd say if you can get it from the library easy, it's worth reading, but it didn't like, change my life. I've heard good things about Sarah Dessen, though she writes more realistic kinds of stuff.

The Leviathan trilogy by the author of Uglies is great fun, and comes with pretty illustrations. I tore through Spoiled at B&N the other day which apparently has a sequel out right now, so that's worth a look.

Ooh, I've been meaning to pick up Leviathan. Thanks for reminding me! I feel like I either read Graceling years back or wanted to. The summary sounds cheesy but something I'd love lol

Yeah, I mostly read Graceling because a sequel called Bitterblue just came out which sounded way more like my thing, but I figured I needed context to appreciate it properly.

Oh, and if you like Victorian boarding school YA with magic as puberty metaphors, Libba Bray's A Great and Terrible Beauty is really beautifully written (thought there's some questionable stuff with gypsies)
