I have two big reasons for not liking it without giving it a "real chance":

I hate werewolves.
I'm completely burnt out of shows about dudes and everything that comes with them (an annoying, wanky fandom).

It's just a less valid complaint when you're talking about a show with a number of characters who are PoC though. This show is way less WHITE MENZ than a lot of things on television (and I don't deny there are too many shows about white dudes on television).

I just looked at the main cast of the series and literally none of them were POC? I had to go to the recurring cast to find anyone, and even then there were... three? Out of over twenty characters listed?

So I'm a little confused as to how Teen Wolf doesn't count as white guy central. And among the people I follow on tumblr who reblog it, I think that I've seen a non-white guy reblogged a total of zero times. Don't get me wrong, I do love some fandoms that are very white dude-tastic (like Avengers), but they are what they are and I have no problem acknowledging that or understanding why someone would be frustrated over it.

edit: Lead guy is Half Latino so I suppose? But he's also playing a character with the last name McCall, so has the narrative even coded him as Latino?

Word of god confirms his mother's last name as Delgado. They haven't stated it outright yet, unfortunately.

Thank you. No one in this godawful fandom gives a single fuck about the PoC on the show, they just use them as their proverbial black friend when convenient. "We're not racist, this character has a black friend! (We can't be arsed to ever use in fic)
