Crazy Landlord

New twist.

We're almost certain she's started stealing our mail.

Like we are actually going to have to call the police.

Jesus fucking christ I do not have the time to deal with all this bullshit. Her behaviour has also continued to get more bizzare and unhinged. Whilst I talked to another tenant she came half way up the stairs and just watched us. Wouldn't respond to us asking if we could help her just. stared. silently.

Tomorrow is 'eviction date' and I'm starting to worry things are going to get rather messy.

Only one other tenant is still here, and she now refuses to stay here on her own with the landlord. Like I've got a business meeting over the weekend, and have had to forewarn her so she can sleep on a friends couch until I get back. The inability to feel completely safe in our home feels incredibly violating and stressful.

And house hunting is going badly, complete letters market at the moment.

Fuck.

Can you stop your mail delivery until you're out of there, and pick it up at the post office instead? And I don't know which is worse--being at home with the landlord, or being away knowing that she's probably prowling around your apartment. She's sounding more like a stalker every time you post.

What anon said - have the post office hold your mail, and tell them you're pretty sure your landlady has been taking your mail.

Also, if you're missing mail you *know* you should have gotten (bills or some such), make sure and ask the post office what you should do, if they think you should talk to the police, etc.

Even talk to your postal carrier, if you can, maybe s/he can deliver to your door for a few days or something, until you can put a hold on it/figure this out?

Have you spoken to the CAB?
