Why yes, it is Big Bang Theory. I am somewhat amused that you were able to guess right away which show I was talking about by me just saying that it was a sitcom and that the characters were 2-dimensional.

Even if I did like the show, I would be scared of going into fandom and voicing my opinion, tbh. The character I was talking about is Penny and from what I've seen, fandom loves her and they will either yell at you for not liking her, or, in case you gave a list of reasons you don't like her which make perfect sense, they will simply ignore your whole argument and tell you you're stupid or something, because clearly you can't see how lovely/beautiful/perfect Penny is. Never mind that you actually had valid reasons for not liking her (or even for not liking certain aspects of the show, for that matter), pfffft.

I don't even dare say I haven't watched all the episodes, otherwise they will tell me the exact the same thing that my boyfriend tells me ("You haven't watched the whole show, you don't know the character"). I wish people would just be fine with "agreeing to disagree" instead of constantly telling you that you HAVE to watch something all the way through, regardless of whether you like it or not, in order to have a 'valid' opinion on the show or the characters. If characters actually changed or developed, I would agree, but in some shows they clearly don't. It's irritating and, in some cases, just plain stupid.
