I have a ship like this. The source material was largely disappointing, the only reason I kept reading was for the (tiny bits of) interaction between two characters. Unfortunately, no fanworks for that ship. :(

I feel your pain, OP. Not the same fandom, obviously, but I'm currently reading the Coldfire trilogy and I love Tarrant, I like Vryce and I definitely love their dynamics ... but the other characters are so bland and the author mostly needs a good editor to fix her rambling style, but I still keep reading for the ship.

I don't know your fandom, but I know how you feel. I always feel weird when I ship like that, especially if I'm vocal about not liking the series.

Like, can you really even say they're your OTP and you love their dynamic when you don't even think the story they're from is any good and ship them mostly in a way that could be perceived as OOC?

Actually, reminds me of one of my OTPs (more than likely not the same fandom). I love their dynamic. Obsessively. Sadly, the show was hit with mass executive meddling, and I wasn't really happy with the direction it took because of that. I may not've kept watching if it wasn't for my interest in the one relationship.

Series is the Kate Beaton universe (though I think it's awesome), your OTP is the Wizard/the King, and you posted a silhouette of Fat Pony! Am I right? :D
