Watched Grimm for the first time today....

My word, the writing on it is bad. I wasn't expecting anything amazing, but the first episode was just so damn awful. The silly exposition dumps, the not-at-all-obscure song they used to be a "Oh snap he done did it" random bit, the "Oh, I know, but you don't, teehee" from the werewolf. Just...worse than Supernatural, IMHO, and I don't care for that show either.

It gets a lot better as the season goes on IMO, it's a pretty solid show with some decent character work. It's pretty shaky at the start, I agree.

But if you're not into Supernatural it might just be that it's not for you.

Oh, I know. XD I still watch Grimm because I find some of the ideas kind of interesting, but the writing is terrible. Plot holes and continuity errors everywhere. A really unlikable main character. Some fracking stupid motives. The entire treat-wesen-like-people-and-arrest-them cultural imperialism fail.

It's kind of the worst show on television right now, but man is it entertaining sometimes. :DDDD

Yes, I agree. I love some of the characters and the main plot, but occasionally I just want shout "What are you bunch of idiots doing?!". The police procedures in particular are out of this world, such as Nick dropping and then getting rid of his gun.

I still can't get over the time they (TWO POLICE OFFICERS) shot a fleeing suspect in the back and faced (apparently) no disciplinary action.

I know, right? It's like nobody records who has what gun in that show (SERIAL NUMBERS, HOW DO THEY WORK.)

Also, Renard's switch-out-the-cell-phone-battery maneuver. LOL, seriously?

I'm still surprised the MC's cop friend thought the werewolf was the kidnapper because he was humming Sweet Dreams. Just...why wouldn't he know a song that was pretty popular in the 80's?
