True Blood. I love vampires, and everything about this show sounded right up my alley. Forced myself through three episodes before I called it quits. Same with Vampire Diaries. It seems I'm much more particular in my vampire love than I thought.

Fucking True Blood. The first season was okay, but then it all went the route of every vampire thing that's been popular in the last few years: too long, too much stupid.

If you came over from Buffy, though, I feel especially sad for you. Serious vampire downgrade.

I would love a fun vampire show to watch but True Blood is just too godawful to deal with and I could not get into Vampire Diaries. I actually got through quite a bit of True Blood but the characters just got too annoying and the plots were not interesting enough to keep me into it. I can understand liking camp but True Blood is just bad.

I miss Buffy.

ICON LOVE. Buffy was never so good as it was when Dru and Spike were onscreen.

And yeah, I had trainwreck fascination with True Blood for a while but finally broke free last season when they were brutalizing the only character I could stand for teh dramaz. I like the books better, because they might be dumb fluff, but at least they know they're dumb fluff, and aren't trying to ~say something~

So true. Although I did like the later seasons. But Dru and Spike were so amazing together.

I think that I've basically decided that there is so much tv out there I do like that I won't force myself to watch something just because I think I will/should like it at some point. I've started watching older scifi/fantasy/paranormal shows rather than keeping up with someone I don't like. I have little free time as it is, why waste that time?

Yeah I thought I was going to love True Blood too (and I like the books ftw) and I just can't. Urgh and people keep wanting me to watch it with them.

True Blood has gotten so bad. It started off pretty good. The vampires are creepy but campy to becoming absolutely ridiculous. They aren't even trying to write a good script any more. Just throwing to see what sticks.
