I just wanted to say thank you for keeping this going so long! It's been great fun to look forward to every day.

Also, while I can't look at the spiders every day (I seem to be better with the tiny, eye-lashed jumpers than the web-spinners) it has actually kind of helped! Not completely, no, and anything bigger than a pinhead still gives me panic attacks if I see it irl, but a tiny little black spider of indeterminate origin has been living in the corner of our downstairs bathroom for weeks now, and as long as it stays in its little corner whenever I'm in there, we're totally cool.

It's a very tiny start (in multiple ways, haha) but every little bit helps. So yeah, tl;dr, thank you! So don't be too bummed out, okay? *offers all the e-hugs*

Don't worry about that. And if you ever want to know how to get rid of a spider yourself or if a small one is up in your space and you aren't comfortable, the simplest way is to upend a glass or something like that over it and then slide a piece of paper underneath, trapping it inside. You can then take it outside afterwards and just let it go, which is overall probably less gross than squishing it, because spiderguts.
