Fringe. I thought it'd be really interesting, but my god the pilot was so dull I wanted to sit on a hedgehog.

I think Fringe is a good "do something else while watching it" series. I marathoned the first 3 seasons of the series while doing other things and the plot moves very... slow and even while half paying attention I could predict everything that was going to happen.

It has some good hooks but I haven't gotten around to season 4 yet because I don't really have that much of an interest.

This. I actually made it through half the season because everyone kept raving about how amazing it was. It bored me, though, and I just couldn't force myself to go any farther. And all the talk on various entertainment sites about how amazing it is and how all the awards shows are horrible because Fringe/various Fringe actors don't win just annoys me.

I actually didn't get hooked until nearly the end of the first season.
If you really want to plow through it, do-something-else-while-watching is a great method. (I was sewing through most of the first season.)
