i thought i was going to get totally into borderlands, because it frankly sounded like something that should be right up my alley. it's not to say that i disliked it? but uh... well it ended up being kind of forgettable. i'd rank it at a solid "okay"
which is too bad, because it seems like everyone i know really likes that game

I don't like Borderlands that much either. I was pretty meh on the game at first, but the constant, exaggerated praise it gets has nudged my apathy into active dislike. :|

I've heard Borderlands 2 is better, if you ever want to give it a shot. I understand if not, though. :)

agreed. I started playing Borderlands because I got a free Borderlands2 and gameplay wise, it's been pretty bland. I've heard that's it's infinitely better as multiplayer and... come to think of it, the gameplay is like an mmo...

oh yeah it's obviously better when you're playing with friends, but honestly even then i didnt really feel it stick out in the way that left 4 dead did (or killing floor, to a lesser extent)
