A trigger, well, triggers someones' PTSD. And one thing that's important to know is that it's not even the act itself that's necessarily the only triggering thing, but the build-up can be just as triggering.

Such as, if someone read an unwarned story with rape in it, they may get triggered by the build-up to the rape scene because it pulls them back to their feelings of fear and anticipation they felt when they were raped.

In heavy SJ places, the definition could also fit what you said. It kinda doubles as a regular warning to anyone who may be uncomfortable with the topic regardless of whether they have PTSD.
