It is a D: face kind of movie. I like it for that, but the movie gets pitched as, like, this fun farcical comedy and it is so not that.

...yeah it's kind of the opposite of that, really. I really love Being John Malkovich because I really dig how surreal it is, but it's really an D: movie.

I watched it with two friends when we were deciding what to watch and I'd heard it was good. We were basically just like "...what are we even watching right now?" the whole time.
