Battlestar Galactica, for one. Despite the lovely ladies and the complex plots and characterization, I lost interest pretty fast. Don't even know why.

Resonance of Fate for another. It was very, very pretty, and the premise was interesting, but it was very, very mediocre in all other regards.

Suckerpunch was exactly that, and not in a good way.

There was this steampunk RPG for the DS that looked really, really cool! Airship battles! World-spanning adventure! Guilds! And then it turned out to be so boring that I can't even remember its name.

Battlestar Galactica for me too, and I wanted so MUCH to like it. There are soooooooo many things I like about it, but the bleak, distasteful, life-and-hope-destroying Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy just slammed me like a brick with every single episode until I couldn't bring myself to give a shit about anything or anyone. :(

I love darkness, but if it's too much to ask that the characters being subjected to that darkness be somewhat sympathetic and have a few scraps of meaningful happiness and humor in their lives for contrast...well, sue me, I'm an old-fashioned gal.
