Re: Shows/books/movies/etc you thought you were going to like but then didn't
(Anonymous) 2012-09-21 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)I remember seeing the book cover when I'd go to the library and there were all sorts of images for it at Photobucket (I worked there as a mod for a couple months), and this was well over a year before the movie was to be made.
My friends were telling me they really enjoyed the books, and since I was a fan of the HP books I might like the Twilight books. They said it was about a girl who falls for a vampire who goes to her school. I was like, "All right! Sounds dark and mysterious."
Halfway through the book I was wondering when the book would become interesting. Once I finished the book, I was like, "I don't get it. Nothing really happened. Did I miss something?"
And then the movies came out and I never watched them or read any of the other books and we all lived happily ever after away from each other.
