(Anonymous) 2012-09-23 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)TBQH it may not be about being female but about being pre-pubescent far earlier than they should be, physiologically. Hormones make you crazy even in the most optimal of adolescences. I think that explains 75% of fandom on the Internet and its problematic obsession with a topic it cannot actually understand -- we hope anyway -- since they are all in that weird limbo between childhood and adulthood. Not even taking into account the fact that due to nutrition -- and who knows growth hormones in the food supply LOL -- puberty is starting to occur way way way way earlier than it used to. So their brains are not as developmentally ready to undergo the soup of hormones they are being inundated by. With the results we see before us.
