I'm pretty sure a lot of fandoms have this problem. However, I see it more as, "Kickass female in a show who has never been a damsel but has been a knight in shining armor is now a weak and pitiful thing that must be rescued again and again and again. Also, rape!"

They didn't have a female to do it to in your fandom so they gender swapped a dude.

It's strange because there actually is a woman in CoD4 (Peleyo) and you even save her. Why not just use her for random degrading fap fodder?
