Pretty sure this guy was working with some internalized homophobia as well. He used to tell these "hilarious", descriptive stories about getting drunk and wrestling with his roommate (usually in someone's bed) all the time.

It made everyone uncomfortable. One time he started describing his buddy's physique and I accidentally made eye-contact with another guy (who the storyteller picked on for being gay) in the class and we almost died trying not to laugh.

That's... well now I just kind of pity the guy but he still sounds like an asshole so it's not that much pity. I don't know.

How do you deal with it?

I didn't? Acknowledging the guy's presence meant getting all kinds of gross comments aimed my way. I felt kinda bad that he had issues but he was a giant, dumb, douche so I didn't make them my problem?
