The line between fiction and reality with TGWTG folk has not so much been blurred as blown up with a stack of dynamite

That's kind of more your problem than theirs. You decided, arbitrarily, what constituted fiction and reality and where there should be a line drawn. They didn't. The only line that was ever THERE was the one you drew.

It's fair of you not to want to know about the personal lives of people you go to just for entertainment, but it's not really fair of you to make it sound like they're collectively some almost-maliciously botched PR job just because you don't like who they are as people.
