I didn't discover fandom until after the show was over, and the fact that Max/Alec fic existed blew my mind. Like, wait, there was an option other than their stupid, tragic, blah-blah-death-whatever love story? And I *hated* Logan, so damn my lack of imagination.

Fun fact: When I first watched SPN, I had no idea Jensen had been in Dark Angel. I had such a hate on for Alec when I first watched Dark Angel so this amused me. I had to see someone in fandom mention it then went, "...oh". My memories of Alec are much fonder now.
