I remember reading Blue TARDIS back in the...80's? Yeah. It was my first fandom porn, and the self-insert fic was annoying, but the idea of the Doctor pleasing a whale just.

Different tastes and all that, but when Matt was first announced as The Doctor I thought the same thing. He just didn't seem my type. Once I saw him on screen my opinion changed. IDK what it is, maybe his energy? Whatever it is I find him charming and sexy.

I still can't get over the fact that Matt Smith appears to have no eyebrows most of the time. And he looks kind of like he just got bit by a zombie and is just starting to turn into one.
But I also thought David Tennant looked like a gerbil, so maybe I just have bad taste?

I don't think David Tennant is sexy or anything, but I thought he was at least cute and could... at times be handsome. Mostly dweeby though. And I mean hey, gerbils are cute.

Matt Smith on the other hand is just not at all aesthetically pleasant to me even in an endearing way.

What's weird is that I think Matt Smith looks better when he's not the Doctor. Actually, I thought he looked better as the Raggedy Doctor before he found his "look," too, or in that image you used. There's something about the tweed jacket that's not doing him any favors, IMHO. Or maybe it's just the S6 dialogue that makes him less attractive, I dunno.

I agree with your friend. He looks like his face is made of wax and at any moment is going to melt off. (We call him Dr. Melty-face in my house.) In some shots it looks like his face IS melting off. The white make-up and no pores look they use for him is doing him no favors.

Because of his looks I can not watch the Eleventh doctor, because it's like he has a people skin on at times. As you can imagine I am terribly sad that they aren't replacing him any time soon.

(Tennant also has a bizarre-yet-oddly-pleasing face, but Tennant also radiates fuckability so intensely that it gets to be distracting. All the other Doctors I want as my crazy uncle; Ten, I just want to pin him down and shag him until he regenerates into a better person.)
