Beards on men squick me out. I wouldn't want to kiss someone with a beard (and what about having that beard touching other parts of your anatomy...ew). Also, have you ever read the book "The Twits" by Roald Dahl? The guy gets pieces of food stuck in his beard and eats them later...

Uh. You do realize that people don't actually do that, right? (Sure you do, but I'll play along.) Dahl wrote that to fuck people up with disgusting imagery. Anyway, people get food on their faces too. Would you prefer that people not have faces? People keep their facial hair as clean as their faces, typically.

Putting stupidly judgey opinions aside, seriously? That's "beardy"? If that qualifies as "beardy" to you, does that mean everyone with facial hair below the upper lip is beardy? Seriously, that's one of the best-trimmed beards I've ever seen. Unless you mean all facial hair whatsoever is gross to you and therefore no one else is allowed to like it?
