No, but they have the author's name and some of the comments are tending that way. Just seems kinda shitty to do it that way, and invite people to read and/or share their bad reactions.

I can't speak for having the Author's name [though, honestly, if the fic really is that well known, just having the *title* would be enough for most people to identify it], but you can't really hold the OP responsible for what other people say. Are some of them the OP? Maybe, but there are a number who obviously can't be the same person too - and most [up to the point your comment was posted at least] are generally saying 'I didn't like it/don't get why it's popular/it's too purple prosey*' which isn't really bashing.

*There are actually a number of writers who take pride in purple prose [professional and otherwise], so it's not always viewed as insult.

No, i can't, but it just seems that putting the author's name out there seems like a less than cool thing to do. The secret would have worked without it.

True - but judging from the people who seem to know it well enough to say that they didn't like it/it was purple prose-y/etc I'm not sure how much of a difference it would have really made had they not included the name...and the secret wouldn't have really worked without the title.
