Gotta admit, that's how it came across to me as well.

Also, can I just say that any phrase pertaining to fandom that contains the word "ladies" makes me reflexively grit my teeth? It's one of those words that at one point was a perfectly acceptable word until it got adopted by the SJWs. Now it's an instant rage trigger. :(

Uh...if you're feeling that way, you might want to reevaluate your place in fandom, because it's making you hateful. There's no negative connotation to that word. It's used by everyone.
