(Anonymous) 2012-09-25 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)Well, I guess it's good that you've experienced some personal growth, but do be careful that you don't start thinking anyone that dislikes certain female characters is now misogynist. I've seen this shift in thinking a lot- person goes from hating all female characters reflexively to finding some female characters that they like, then they go off the deep end and think that anyone, who hates any female character for any reason whatsoever, is a misogynist. It's a really damaging way of thinking and it makes you come off like you drank the Tumblr SJW Kool-aid.
But, also, congratulations. I had that sort of situation until I watched Azumanga Daioh- that show helped me realize that not every female character is an obnoxious, whiny Mary-Sue.
