I'm seeing my best friend tonight...

...for the first time in two years! We had a massive argument and ended our friendship because we were both behaving in ill-advised ways, but things have SLOWLY been getting back on track, and tonight I'm meeting him and his boyfriend (who I've never met before and know hardly anything about) at a concert!

Sorry for the ramble, I just had to share my joy. I'm so happy to be seeing him but so scared I'm going to screw up somehow and ruin things between us again.

Wow that sounds familiar. A close friend of mine from my teens and I had a serious falling-out junior year of high school. We were awkward around each other for another year and a half while we still had classes and clubs together. I can count the number of time I've seen her since graduation over 5 years ago on a single hand, all through parties held by mutual friends. However, I think think things are slowly getting better. It would be childish to be on non-speaking terms after so long. I don't know if we'll have some joyful reunion some time down the road, we may just have grown apart too much but at least we tolerate each other again.

Anyway sorry for rambling too. I hope everything goes well with you. Have fun at the concert!
