*patpat* so hostile. Don't take it too personally, dear. I don't read the comments before I make mine. As it is, I certainly get what you mean about people not putting as much behind something as they should, but from back when I was in the FMA anime fandom, there was never a want for Ed complexing. My regret was that it seemed so hard to understand that what makes him a great character is that he sucks it up and continues on, intelligently.

Yeah, sorry. Sometimes I come off that way to people that don't know me.... I tend to write my responses before reading other comments, too- just wanted to let you know there was more on it in the above comment.

and I'm not talking about in the fandom (I'm really not in it.) but with my friends.

Ah well. I can't say about your friends. And I suppose Ed's character isn't really what it's about anyway. But if you really want people to realize about you, can't you just tell them? I suppose it depends on the quality of the friend, but even if just one understood, you might feel better.
