Make or Break Day for my Career

I've been given the opportunity to serve as acting operations manager for the premiere 'branch' of our company.

If you've ever lived in London there's a very good chance you've used our services.

It's just emotionally rather then simply intellectually struck me what an incredible responsibility this is. There's a senior manager to evaluate my performance and take over if I really screw up, but oh god I'm going to fuck up so badly. People are going to die, London is going to shut down, you're going to see me on the news defending my incompetence.

On the upside, if by some small blessing I get a good performance evaluation it's a passport to promotion.

Woah! This is some pretty heavy shit, but that's actually pretty awesome. How did you get to such a position so young? (Or at least I assumed you were young, I could be wrong.)

But no worries, deep breaths. You can do this! If you got this far, you can definitely adapt to the new role ahead of you.

Don't think you're gonna fuck up. It'll just make you tense and nervous. Do the best you can and don't be afraid to ask for advice. Think you're gonna have a great time instead and you'll loosen up and enjoy the experience.
