Sokka and fire bending love, yes.

[identity profile] errorism.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
My fondness of Zuko keeps growing, too. ):

[identity profile] burningvigor.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I know what you mean. And of course, Iroh. :D

[identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I am almost embarrassingly head-over-heels in love with Zuko. I'm not quite sure how so many people can hate him, even in light of... some stuff he's done, let's say!

[identity profile] errorism.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm only halfway through the first season because I'm slow/watching it sporadically online, but at first it was just like, oh cool, that dude uses fire. And then it was like, oh shit he is like breakdancing with fire I WANT TO DO THAT! And he has a cool face.

[identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I won't spoil anything for you, then. :) He's a great character.

[identity profile] errorism.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, thanks. ♥ I'm actually gonna get back to watching it right now so I can catch up sooner. I've been pretty awesome at avoiding spoilers.

[identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Aha, you don't have long! But I'd advise you to pace yourself. The show just gets better and better. I have a feeling that season three's premiere will see quite a vocal online reception as compared to past episodes.

[identity profile] errorism.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I've got way too much spare time at the moment, so it's a welcome distraction. ♥ When does the third season come out?

[identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
The first episode is set to air on September 21st, at 8PM Pacific Standard Time on Nickelodeon, so it should be available for download at [livejournal.com profile] avatar_episodes before the 22nd!

Also, orcas kick ass.

[identity profile] errorism.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh awesome, I'll be way caught up by then. I'm actually in the UK (catching this stuff on TV is impossible), so thank god for the internet for bringing regular episodes to me!

Orcas are the freaking best things ever. ):

[identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
The cool thing about the fandom, though it's sort of retarded, is that it's so obsessed. You will find everything if you know where to look. Also, the fanart kicks ass, which is a rarity in itself, even in anime fandoms.

I'm a fan of elephants, myself, but they are pretty freaking cool! I fear I watch too much Animal Planet. :/

[identity profile] errorism.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
It's weird that after a whole year of not being able to draw, Avatar is making me want to get back into it. The style is really energetic, you know? Plus it'd be an excuse to CG fire again. ♥

Elephants are awesome! When I was a kid I was obsessed with Animal Planet, and I'd be happy to watch it all day now if I could. I just hate the internet for making it seem like Really Liking an Animal = Furry. goddammit ):

[identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com 2007-08-08 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
It's inspired me to write again, which has pretty much changed my life, or at least the way I think about it! But I strongly encourage you to do it. Fire is awesome. Fighting is awesome. Hot kids are equally awesome.

Animal Planet seems to have degenerated into Animal Cops series, but the Planet Earth miniseries on the Discovery Channel just... wow. It blew me away.

Haha, yes. Well, furry teasing is sometimes inevitable. XD

[identity profile] errorism.livejournal.com 2007-08-09 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
That's really cool. It's pretty awesome when it takes just one thing to inspire somebody to be creative like that.

Haha, I'd agree with that. Planet Earth was definitely incredible, but I don't get why they redubbed the narration for the US version. Attenborough is the shit! Did you ever see Blue Planet, too? My claim to fame is that one of the main cameramen emailed me personally when he was making a film on orcas. ): It was SO COOL.

I wish those bastards hadn't made it so horrifying to do image searches for things, seriously. DID NOT WANT TO SEE THAT STUFF

[identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com 2007-08-09 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
What sucks is they showed it with Attenborough at first, and later showed it being narrated by Sigourney Weaver. It was greatly pissed. Then again, I never much cared for her voice.

They're showing Blue Planet again soon, and I promise to watch it then. It looks so exciting. Jesus, one day I will stop getting hyped about obscure nature information.

That is an awesome claim to fame! Did he want to use your artwork?

Sadly, a lot online is very "do not want" nowadays. Though I am sometimes (secretly) aroused by klar's (http://klar.deviantart.com) bootylicious anthros. Uhhhhhh.

[identity profile] errorism.livejournal.com 2007-08-09 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
It's an odd story (but I was like 15 so it was the greatest thing in the world) - I'd emailed BBC Wildlife magazine after I heard a rumour about an orca-centric documentary, and they actually forwarded my email directly to the guy making it, who told me all about it. I still have it printed out somewhere.

klar's art is seriously awesome! I tend to keep away from DA now, but I love going back to see her art, among others.

[identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com 2007-08-09 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, that's fantastic. I love moments like that. It's always such an elevating experience when someone you so strongly respect will actually speak to you. It inspires greater things, anyway. I don't blame you for having it printed out, still. :)

My awesome claim to fame was spending pretty much an entire day chilling with the Penny Arcade guys without actually knowing who they were beyond that they made a webcomic. They actually tried to buy me a really nice katana, too, but they had spent all their cash and the vendor wasn't accepting cards. It was only later that I realized I had been apparently conversed with gods.

Klar is great. Everything she puts out is nice to look at, which says a lot as it's typically hard to get into art unless I'm intimate with its source material.

[identity profile] onefishjyuufish.livejournal.com 2007-08-10 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
SRSLY?

God. I liked Weaver's narration, but. Attenborough. Wtf, Discovery Channel?
